What is motor control training?

Motor control training includes a variety of exercises that are designed to help improve the functionality, range-of-motion, and coordination of the muscles around the spine. What is proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF)?

PNF stretching is another effective technique that can stretch out just about any muscles of the body. This helps send signals to the brain to help the muscles fully relax. There are three main types of PNF techniques:

  • Contract-relax
  • Hold-relax-contract
  • Hold-relax

PNF stretching can help improve flexibility and range of motion particularly in the hip flexors, hamstrings, back, and glutes. These therapeutic exercises can provide amazing results when it comes to improved mobility. It’s even been effective for those dealing with mobility issues as a result of certain neuromuscular health problems such as multiple sclerosis.

The Basics of Sciatica

There are a few factors that can put you at greater risk of developing sciatic nerve pain. These factors include:
